About Furcation

Furcation is aiming to be a brand new furry holiday event. The event offers a unique level of flexibility to make the weekend your own. Whether you prefer to take part in organised events or do your own thing in the company of friends, Furcation offers something for everyone

We have organised a wide range of different accomodation options to cater to all budgets, so there is no need for anyone to miss out on this fantastic weekend.

What is Furcation?
Furcation aims to be a new weekend event that offers a unique setting and approach to furry events. With a rise in the number of start-up conventions recently in the UK, we wanted to step as far away from that area as possible and to give Furries a fresh new event with a completely different feel. As such, the basis of Furcation in planning was simple….

Pontins/Butlins for Furries!

So what does this entail? What makes us so different to a convention? For a start, we won't be hotel based. We will instead be running in the grounds of a holiday park. Attendees will not have hotel rooms. Instead, all attendees will be staying in cosy chalets and caravans!

We are also aiming for Furcation to be a more social event. Conventions are usually heavily themed and run various panels, auctions and shows for their duration which means a very packed timetable on offer. Furcation will not have this aspect to the event. We will be running various activities throughout the weekend including Furry Olympics, a cheesy disco on the Saturday night, a pub quiz, bingo, a new dance contest with a twist (more information to follow on this soon) and karaoke. We do have other activities in planning but not confirmed at this stage, however, we are aiming to keep a loose timetable so our attendees have time to socialise with their friends, be it in the park’s clubhouse areas, within the grounds of the park or within your individual chalets.

As you may have come to expect, the majority of our venue is outdoors. Although most areas are suitable for Fursuiting with tarmac/concrete paths, if you choose to Fursuit outdoors, there is a risk of mud and dirt around dependent how kind the British weather is on the run up to the event. We highly recommend the use of outdoor paws and/or Fursuit sandals if you wish to run around the park in suit. If you stick to Fursuiting inside the chalets and inside the park’s clubhouse areas, this should be fine though.

On the subject of the weather, we do plan to run a few events outdoors. We will have contingency plans for bad weather to permit a few of the outdoor events to continue to run.
